Man Drives Off With Gas Without Paying, Impersonates Police Officer

Authorities are looking for a man who drove off with $55 in gas Wednesday at the pit stop off U.S. Highway 71 in Greenwood.

The store clerk said the man pumped the fuel, came into the store and said he was a police officer and left his wallet at home.

The clerk said he told her he would d be back and gave a non-working phone number.

The clerk described the man as white , 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds.

He drove away in a white pickup truck with no license plate.

Police asked anyone who has more information to call the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office.
